about

Released in 1990, this was Nick's second foray into Gold Dust Studios in Bromley, this time with a few friends adding bits and pieces here and there as well as Martin Crowley behind the traps as on the previous album, Any Gas Faster. This was issued on CD in the UK and US by Reckless Records, and Nick released the Vinyl version in the UK on Woronzow, with a free 7" single, included in the extra tracks here. This version is the 2 CD Remastered Edition from 2002, with several bonus tracks. In order to burn this to two CDs, tracks 1-16 fit on the First CD and 17-30 on the Second CD.

A steady stream of LPs since then showcase Nick's strengths of strong songwriting, finely crafted lyrics, and a musical mixture from wig-out guitar jams to sensitive folky numbers. New album The Leaving Of London is a triumphant return after a 7 year hiatus. ... more
