about

The Original Acid Jam appeared in 1988 and featured a like-minded assortment of psychedelic musicians having, what is known in their parlance, as a blow. The sessions took place over a period of two days in a converted pigsty near Heathrow. The basic premise behind that album had always appealed to the protagonists, so, some twelve years later, we decided to have another go! This time, a team of slightly less sprightly freaks assembled in Gold Dust Studios and laid down (but soon got up again) much of what you have here. We also got in touch with some other mates and asked if they'd care to contribute, which they all did. We then had a dig through the extensive Woronzow vaults to see if there was anything suitably odd lurking suspiciously. The result of our labours is the double CD you now hold in your claw. We're genuinely delighted with the outcome, and sincerely hope you will be too. But if you don't, we still had fun doing it.

about

Bevis Frond Walthamstow

A steady stream of LPs since then showcase Nick's strengths of strong songwriting, finely crafted lyrics, and a musical mixture from wig-out guitar jams to sensitive folky numbers. New album The Leaving Of London is a triumphant return after a 7 year hiatus. ... more
