about

Back in Gold Dust Studios with a full band again, Hit Squad follows on from the progression evident on What Did For the Dinosaurs. This album contains some of Nick's best and most realised songs. From the faux-sixties spy-film styles of the title track, the all-out rock of Dragons and Doing Nothing, the classic psych-rock of Through the Hedge, to the epic psychedelic melancholy of Fast Falls the Eventide, the album is full of great songs. Ironically, with such promise and progression, this is the final Bevis Frond album.

about

Bevis Frond Walthamstow

A steady stream of LPs since then showcase Nick's strengths of strong songwriting, finely crafted lyrics, and a musical mixture from wig-out guitar jams to sensitive folky numbers. New album The Leaving Of London is a triumphant return after a 7 year hiatus. ... more
