Oh Tea I’d choose nearly any Bevis Frond track and I’ve plenty to be happy about but the sandeels have disappeared from the waters around our islands and I don’t know how I can go on😃

Richard RR It is a pompous affectation to claim there is no good music being made anymore. There is so much it boggles the mind. Bevis Frond is new to me but have been creating fabulous music for 20+ years. This 2012 release takes me back to early Traffic, the Byrds, and many of the best features of "60's music". This double record is so rich and varied it is impossible to confine it to any genre though and more than merits your attention! Favorite track: Testament.

about

The new album by the Bevis Frond. Recorded at Gold Dust Studios in March 2011. Marking a welcome return after seven years, the album showcases all of what we expect from the Bevis Frond and more. With much higher production values and a set of extremely strong and memorable songs, The Leaving of London is arguably the most complete and accessible Bevis Frond album to date.

about

Bevis Frond Walthamstow

The Bevis Frond, the band name used by Nick Saloman for his projects, released Miasma in 1986 to great acclaim from fans of psychedelic rock. A steady stream of LPs since then showcase Nick's strengths of strong songwriting, finely crafted lyrics, and a musical mixture from wig-out guitar jams to sensitive folky numbers. New album The Leaving Of London is a triumphant return after a 7 year hiatus. ... more
